Respect My Authority

Authority figures really influence the way I act sometimes. Like at football practice if the coach tells you something you better do it and don't be fooling around on the sideline. Also in my class of chemistry when my teacher asks for an answer I have to think about it before I shout out my answer. So yah sometimes I do feel threatened to be myself in class because I don't want to look like and idiot in front of everyone.

The Pedestrian reaction

The Pedestrian seems like a very weird type of story. There is no sign of live which gives it a eerie feeling. Also Leonard Mead is just walking around in the night alone just wandering which is weird.

My Aeries

What I got on my grade was fair. I say this because at the end I started to rush and it may have of not made sense. Although I also think that I should of at least gotten a B-. I have done most of the work assigned and I sort of believe I should get a solid B- for the first grading period.

Young Goodman Brown Questions

1. I believe that Hawthorne's reason for writing Young Goodman Brown was to show that people should always choose the right path no matter how hard it is. Also to never lose faith even when it seems impossible.
2.  I believe that faith fits the personality of Young Goodman Brown's wife. The reason is because all though she isn't able to be seen by Goodman Brown she leaves a trace of pink flowers which symbolize faith.
3. The pink ribbons signify faith.
4. In my opinion I believe that what Young Goodman Brown witnessed was something conjured by evil. The reason being was because during the story a teacher of Young Goodman Brown starts to talk in a devilish way. "The devil" screamed the pious old lady.
5. I believe hat he old man is the devil in disguise leading him in the wrong path.
6. In my opinion I believe the staff represents the snake from the story Adam and Eve. Also I believe that the staff is the one who leads Goodman Brown slowly tempting him to keep going.
7.I think that Goodman Brown's life wouldnt have changed because in the beginning Goodman Brown didn't believe his wife's stories about her nightmares. This shows that Goodman Brown didn't have faith in her.
